
The Cardiac Therapy Foundation of the Midpeninsula, a non-profit
501(c)3 organization, is dedicated to providing comprehensive,
long-term medical evaluation, prescribed exercise, cardiac risk factor
modification, and education, counseling, behavior intervention and
social support to those with known cardiovascular disease, and those at
risk for developing it. This comprehensive process is extended to
those with other chronic diseases such as pulmonary disease and diabetes
mellitus.
Its vision is to be recognized as the outstanding leader in cardiac
rehabilitation and chronic disease management on the Mid-peninsula of
the San Francisco Bay Area.
Its objectives are:
 | To provide practical, up-to-date scientifically-based education
and services to its participants; |
 | To attract, train, and retain top-quality nursing, management, and
support staff; |
 | To provide quality services to its participants at a reasonable
cost; |
 | To communicate to the medical community, the media, and the
general population the availability and effectiveness of our services; |
 | To prosper as a patient-owned community-based program; |
 | To develop and implement a play for long-term fiscal viability;
and |
 | To partner, on a very selective basis, with other non-profit
organizations that provide synergy with our mission. |
